The researchers further stated that flexion-distraction concentrates on a specific segment of the spine, alters the epiphyseal joint allowing a distraction of the anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments, and relaxes the facet joint. Negative pressure was produced in the disc space by widening the canal space.
